Welcome to my little corner of the world! I am excited you’ve made your way here! My name is Holly, and I work with both children and adults with the intent of making you feel supported, understood, and seen, regardless of where you are in your walk of life. My goal is to help you celebrate all your exciting moments and simple joys while also sorting out the hard, challenging, confusing spaces taking up time in your life. These struggles can come in the form of anxiety, depression, life transitions, behavioral challenges, parenting challenges, or just feeling stuck. Regardless of the source, I am here to help make these challenging times clearer and more changeable by using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, so you can see your resilience and
creativity while developing new tools for growth.
When working with kiddos I enjoy helping them learn strategies and skills to manage their intense emotions, and utilize developmentally appropriate play to help them communicate and express their feelings. This, coupled with active parent involvement ,sets up both the child and the parent to feel more confident in challenging situations. When walking alongside adults, I take a similar approach in therapy by looking at patterns, building awareness, and finding practical ways to respond differently so life feels less reactive and more intentional. In practice this looks like engaging and collaborative sessions with direct questions so I can meet you where you’re at and help make sense of whatever struggle you may be facing.
I use approaches like play therapy techniques, CBT, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy; but more importantly, I focus on what actually is most effective for the person in front of me. My goal as a counselor is for therapy to feel useful, not overly complicated, and to lead to changes that carry into everyday life.
Outside of work, I enjoy board games with friends, spending time outdoors with my partner and our dogs, trying new recipes and crafts, and getting lost in a good book.
