“F.E.A.R.” can mean “Forget Everything And Run” or “Face Everything And Rise”. The fact that you found this page and are considering therapy tells me that you’re already moving toward change. I welcome an opportunity to support you in building on your strengths to create the life you want. I look forward to working together in a way that feels supportive, effective, and tailored to you.
I am a pre-licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology and over seven years of postdoctoral experience providing therapy and diagnostic assessment across a range of clinical settings. I have completed all requirements for full licensure in Idaho and am currently in the final stage of passing the licensing exam. In the meantime, I practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, providing an added layer of consultation and support in your care.
I specialize in helping adults recover from complex trauma, PTSD, and related concerns, including anxiety, chronic pain, sleep disturbance, grief and loss, and moral injury. My experience includes working within the Veterans Health Administration and specialized PTSD treatment programs, where I provided trauma-focused care across outpatient, inpatient, residential, and telehealth settings. I have particular experience supporting individuals in high-intensity professions such as military, law enforcement, and emergency/disaster response, and welcome anyone motivated to reclaim their life from trauma.
Therapy with me is collaborative, strength-based, and focused on resilience. I listen carefully to your story not just to understand how trauma or symptoms have impacted you, but also to recognize the strengths that helped you get through it. You are the expert on your experiences, and I combine your insight with my clinical training to tailor treatment to your strengths and goals.
You tell me Star Wars is your favorite movie? Then let’s practice challenging unhelpful thoughts using the wisdom of master Yoda. You’re an avid hiker? That’s a great opportunity to build mindfulness skills into your time outdoors. You like sports? Let’s apply pacing strategies to manage chronic pain like professional athletes do. I aim to make our work together practical, personalized, and grounded in real life—so what you learn in therapy actually fits who you are and how you live.
My work is grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches, which means we look at patterns in thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck and work to shift them in ways that help you move forward. I use evidence-based treatments such as CBT, ACT, and specialized approaches for insomnia and chronic pain, as well as trauma-focused therapies like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and TF-CBT.
