My belief in people and their ability to heal and grow is evident and noticeable to most people as soon as we meet. I know that you are capable of getting to a much better place in your life because I have done it myself and have assisted so many of my clients getting relief from their pain and positive movement in their lives.  I tend to have a very supportive, practical and optimistic perspective on life and how I help people live happier and more fulfilled lives.

Being a counselor and helping people has been the most impactful and fulfilling thing I do. I believe my deep drive and passion to make an impact on this world in helping people manage through some of their most difficult times in their lives, continues to fuel me with personal reward and satisfaction. Helping others to experience the same sense of contentment and happiness in their lives has become a major goal of mine. In my over 25 years of practice as a counselor, I have served many different people and have helped them learn and discover things about themselves that have transformed them into healthier and full functioning humans. I have helped to improve their self-relationship, their relationships with others, and nurtured and supported personal growth and well-being through their darkest times. I provide dedication, compassion, support, warmth, and unconditional positive regard as a tapestry that is woven through our sessions for all my clients.  Coming to see me will be a different experience in exploring how to feel and perform more effectively in your lives. I am passionate about watching the “lights go on” as my clients explore and learn about themselves and how to cope and manage life’s “curveballs” more effectively.

I have been in the chair for many years myself off and on and although therapy can be challenging at times, I am committed to making it as easy and as positive an experience for you as possible.

Allow me to walk you through and listen to your story without the judgment of your friends or family and be a deeply committed and warm human being that will hear you, while raising your self-awareness and equipping you with the tools to be healthy.

I regularly hear from my clients such things as, “I have gained such a better self-relationship and understanding of what I need to do and am doing it well" or “you’ve saved my life.” I strongly believe that if we can go deep at times, we will transform our lives and relationships. I will accompany you along your journey of healing at your pace with genuine connection and support, infused with clinical proficiency.

I have training and use the following techniques to help people heal and grow:
  • Psychodynamic and Existential approaches
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Trauma Informed Care, Mindfulness
  • Motivational Interviewing strategies
  • EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing).

In my spare time, I enjoy writing, reading and hiking. I also play drums and like science fiction and horror movies. I am writing a parenting book entitled: There Is A Manual: Here It is! I enjoy swimming, cooking, walking, and weekend getaways. I am also an avid sports fan, hailing from Philadelphia
